Olympic 2008As a replica of the 2012 Olympic host flag was raised at Lymington Health and Leisure on August 24, so too were the hopes of athletes from across the New Forest.

Aspiring Olympians and local sports clubs joined New Forest District Council Chairman Cllr Paul Woods, Vice Chairman Cllr Les Puttock and Deputy Leader Cllr Barry Rickman at the event, which celebrated the official handover of the Games to London.
