More than £24.6 million paid to New Forest businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic

We've already paid more than £24.6 million to small businesses and businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sector in the New Forest affected by the Coronavirus pandemic and part of the Business Support Grant.

We've already paid more than £24.6 million to small businesses and businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sector in the New Forest affected by the Coronavirus pandemic and part of the Business Support Grant.  We have have written to over 3,500 local businesses in the New Forest with information about the support available and how to claim the grant.

Councillor Michael Harris, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development said;

"Over 2,100 New Forest businesses have contacted us about the Business Support Grant so far, and the Council has already issued over £24.6 million to these local businesses.  

This funding is there to support businesses and their staff through the disruption from the coronavirus pandemic.  If you've received a letter from us and haven't yet claimed your business support grant, please don't wait - apply now through the Council's secure and easy to use online form.

"And if you haven't received a letter, but believe you're entitled to support, please get in touch. Our Revenues team is working hard to make sure grants are paid as quickly as possible. You could receive your grant payment within a few working days. "
