£140k funding from the Rural Community Energy Fund (RCEF)

In partnership with the South West Energy Hub and Solent Local Enterprise Partnership, we are inviting New Forest businesses, town and parish councils, community interest companies, and charities to a free event on Thursday 13 February at 5.30pm (Lyndhurst Community Centre) to find out about a £140,000 grant available from the Rural Community Energy Fund (RCEF).

The RCEF is designed to help communities to develop their own local, clean and renewable sources of energy generation which benefit their locality and the wider environment. RCEF offers support to eligible communities in two stages

• stage one of the scheme offers up to £40,000 for a feasibility study.

• stage two of the scheme offers up to £100,000 to cover further project development costs and gaining planning permission.

This event will provide a short introduction to applying for funds and there will be plenty of time to ask questions and network with other local community energy groups. There will also be a case study from an existing community energy project to show what is possible.

People interested in reserving a space can do so at  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-rural-community-energy-fund-applying-for-a-40000-grant-tickets-88655644419
