ROMAN ROAD SOUTH, HYTHE

New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the Highway Authority, Hampshire County Council proposes introducing a traffic calming scheme as follows:-

EFFECT OF SCHEME:  The provision of seven raised table road humps as follows:-

Roman Road South

Raised table humps 75mm high across the full width of the carriageway with a flat top 6 metres in length.

There will be slopes of 1.5metres horizontally (1 in 20 gradient) on each side.

The humps will be located -

i) between a point 43 metres north west of its junction with Lunedale Road and a point 9 metres north

west

ii) between a point 36 metres south east of its junction with Lunedale Road and a point 9 metres south east

iii) between a point 135 metres south east of its junction with Lunedale Road and a point 9 metres south east

iv) between a point 224 metres south east of its junction with Lunedale Road and a point 9 metres south east

v) between a point 312 metres south east of its junction with Lunedale Road and a point 9 metres south east

vi) between a point 410 metres south east of its junction with Lunedale Road and a point 9 metres south east

vii) between a point 504 metres south east of its junction with Lunedale Road and a point 9 metres south east

FURTHER DETAILS:  A copy of this Notice and a plan showing the locations of the road humps may be inspected during the usual office hours at the following places, and on the Council's website www.newforest.gov.uk under "Planning" then "Transport and Streets" then "Traffic Management", then "Proposed Permanent or Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders advertised", from 6 March 2015

i)              Main Reception Information Office, Appletree Court, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst

ii)             New Forest District Council's Local Information Office, The Grove, St John's Street, Hythe

OBJECTIONS:  All representations (whether in support or objection) in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned by 7 April 2015.  All objections must state the grounds on which they are made.  Representations received will be open for public inspection.
