NEW FOREST DISTRICT COUNCIL

ROAD HUMPS IN PRIESTLANDS ROAD, HIGHFIELD ROAD, PRIESTLANDS LANE/ ACCESS ROAD TO PRIESTLANDS SCHOOL AND BROOKLAND CLOSE, PENNINGTON

New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the Highway Authority, Hampshire County Council proposes introducing a traffic calming scheme as follows:-

EFFECT OF SCHEME: The provision of five raised table road humps and two junction tables as follows:-

Priestlands Road

Raised table 75mm high across the full width of the carriageway with a flat top 6 metres in length. There will be slopes of 1.5 metres horizontally (1 in 20) on each side

The humps will be located -

i) between a point 46 metres north east of the junction with The Square (C75) and a point

9 metres north east

ii) between a point 112 metres north east of the junction with The Square (C75) and a point

9 metres north east

iii) between a point 194 metres north east of the junction with The Square (C75) and a point

9 metres north east

iv) between a point 265 metres north east of its junction with The Square (C75) and a point

9 metres north east

v) between a point 334 metres north east of its junction with The Square (C75) and a point

9 metres north east

Priestlands Road/Highfield Road/Priestlands Lane/access road to Priestlands School

Raised junction table 75mm high across the full width of the carriageway with a flat top for a distance of

23 metres around the bend in Priestlands Road/Highfield Road and extending 6 metres into Priestlands Lane and 6 metres into the access road to Priestlands School. There will be slopes of 1.5 metres horizontally (1 in 20) on each side

Priestlands Road/Brookland Close

Raised junction table 75 mm high across the full width of the carriageway with a flat top for a distance of 16 metres in Priestlands Road and extending 6 metres into Brookland Close. There will be slopes of

1.5 metres horizontally (1 in 20) on each side

FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this Notice and a plan showing the locations of the road humps may be inspected during the usual office hours at the following places, and on the Council's website www.newforest.gov.uk under "Transport and Streets" then "Traffic Management", then "Proposed Permanent or Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders advertised" from 1 August 2014

ii) Main Reception Information Office, Town Hall, Avenue Road, Lymington

OBJECTIONS: All representations (whether in support or objection) in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned by 29 August 2014. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Representations received will be open for public inspection.
