Safety first

The safety of volunteers always comes first.  Please be aware you are not covered by the Council's Public Liability insurance and it is important that event organisers visit their chosen site and carry out a full risk assessment.

Equipment is loaned on the strict condition that the litter picking activity takes place within the parameters of the Health and Safety Guidance, and that the guidance is adhered to. It is your responsibility to brief your volunteers on the guidance before they start any litter picking activities.

Please see the Health and Safety Guidance below for more information.
